Statement of Teaching Philosophy

What I believe is most important about teaching

My teaching philosophy is centered in caring for, understanding, and challenging my students as whole human beings. My classroom is a place that is safe and trustworthy, while also being fun and challenging. My classroom is built with my students on respect as a community where we grow together and teach each other. Students deserve to be cared for, treated as individuals, and also challenged to grow, both academically, socially, and emotionally. I strive to be the teacher my students can trust and respect, with a classroom where they feel safe and valued, in a community where we challenge each other to be the best humans we can be, together.
